The Washington International Horse Show saw an incredible sport with last week's Tryon CSI5* GP-winner, Nicola Philippaerts and the 9-year-old H&M Harley vd Bisschop (by dulf van den Bisschop) eventually placing 9th. A total of 130,000 USD was divided in this 1.60m Grand Prix. Eventually it was Lauren Hough and the 12-year-old Orlando-mare Ohlala who claimed victory after a clear jump-off in 36.56 seconds. Compatriote, Laura Kraut and the 9-year-old Confu (by Contact Me) followed as runner-up after a clear finish in 37.80 seconds. The stage was completed by USA speed devil, Kent Farrington. Farrington set the fastest time, crossing the line in 34.28 seconds. With the 9-year-old KWPN-gelding Creedance (by Lord Z) under the saddle he eventually jumped one rail down, placing third. Also Beezie Madden collected a total of four points. Aboard the 12-year-old Kannan-son Quinster she followed Farrington in a fourth place. The top five was completed by Aaron Vale and Finou (by For Pleasure). Last one in the Jump-off was Catherine Nicole Tyree. Earlier this week Tyree jumped to victory in the 1.45m. Today she settled for a sixth place aboard the 12-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding Enjoy Louis (by Coriano).
