In Madrid, a 1.45m against the clock class was scheduled for this morning. The victory was for the German rider David Will. He and Cento du Rouet left the wood untouched and speeded through the finish line in 53,59 seconds, ver fasted it seemed because nobody was able to get close to Wills time. Pius Schwizer tried, but he and Chellatus R had to settle for second place. The reached the finish in 54,73. Laura Renwick and MHS Washington completed the top 3. They jumped a clear round in 54,93. Fourth place was for the Belgian vice-European champion Gregory Wathelet. He finished in 55,60 with Eldorado van het Vijvershof under the saddle.
