Madison Goetzmann Named May Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month

Madison Goetzmann, of Skaneateles, NY has been named Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month for May. Goetzmann competes in the Junior division in the East Conference of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series. She earned the award riding Prestigious to first place at week two of The Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Show in North Salem, New York, and the Devon Horse Show in Devon, Pennsylvania. Goetzmann also placed second in the Hall of Fame class during week one of the Old Salem Farm Horse Show. These top finishes have catapulted Goetzmann into the lead of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series Junior Division standings as of the end of May. The Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series is sponsored by The National Horse Show Association of America, The Hampton Classic Horse Show and SmartPak. The Series honors one rider each month as the Rider of the Month. The honor goes to the one rider who earns the most points on one horse in Series competition that month. "I would like to congratulate Madison Goetzmann on being named our Rider of the Month for May," said George Morris, President of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame. "Madison is an excellent rider and we wish her continued success." The Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series hosts separate divisions for junior and amateur-owner riders in two Conferences - the East Conference and the West Conference. Series standings are used to help determine junior and amateur-owner entries for the National Horse Show and Las Vegas National Horse Show in November. Any horse show offering a class that meets all the criteria set forth in the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series specifications and has prize money of at least $1,000 is eligible to be part of the Series.
