The international CSI4* showjumping in Liege, Belgium offered top sport in the 1.60m Grand Prix last weekend. In Gregory Wathelet's "backyard" it was his compatriot Niels Bruynseels. Wathelet didn't return for the jump-off. Aboard Cas de Liberte (by Cracky Z) Bruynseels set the fastest time in 34.51 seconds. The last fence of the jump-off proved to be the most difficult one. Although the top 3 reached the finish clear. John Whitaker and Argento followed in a second place stopping the clock in 35.11 seconds. The pair was followed by the crowd's favorit, Jérome Guery and Papillon Z. Rik Hemeryck and Carlitto van 't Zorgvliet were the first to go in. The pair finished in the fastest time with one rail down, resulting in the fourth place. The top five was completed by Pieter Devos and Dream of India Greenfield. Last year the CSI3* Grand Prix in Liege was claimed by USA's Ashlee Bond.
