Today Pénélope Leprévost announced she's able to take the start with Flora de Mariposa, cheering up the French team. Meanwhile the German team sees one of its strongholds forfait for the Games. Marcus Ehning and the impressive stallion Cornado NRW (by Cornet Obolensky) have decided to forfait the Games. During yesterday's show jumping warm-up Cornado slightly injured himself. After consulting the vet, Jan Hein Swagemakers, Ehning has decided to forfait for the Olympic Games. On his Facebook Ehning announced the news. "I don't want to take any risks. Therefor the team has decided to leave Cornado in his stable." Team reserve is Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum who will represent Germany aboard Fibonacci.
