In the end Bertram Allen secured his first place, however that was before judges found some traces of blood on his winning London International Horse Show Grand Prix horse. Bertram Allen and the 11-year-old Quidams Rubin-son, Quiet Easy were about 2 seconds faster. But had to bite the dust after the disqualification. Whitaker was followed by a platoon of German riders with Ludger Beerbaum on top. Beerbaum and the 12-year-old Chiara finished their jump-off clear and were followed by Marcus Ehning and Gin Chin vh Lindenhof. Ehning's new Grand Prix-horse with whom he recently won the CSI GP in Opglabbeek. Hans-Dieter Dreger (Colore) and Simon Delestre completed the top five of this 1.60m class.
