Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat wins in Doha

At the international competition in Doha it was Olympic Champion, Steve Guerdat's turn to claim the victory. The big class of the day was set at a height of 1m55. Aboard the 13-year-old Cumano-mare Nasa Guerdat finished clear in 37.76 seconds. Over two seconds faster as the Belgian runner-up Pieter Devos. Devos, who won last years Spruce Meadows Masters, finished his round with Candy (by Nabab de Rêve) in 39.29 seconds. Yesterday's winner, Michael Whitaker, took in the third position today. This with his Belgian Warmbred -mare Elie van de Kolmen (by President). The top five was completed by Edwina Tops Alexander and Old Chap Tame (by Carthago) and Constant van Paesschen (Citizenguard Toscan de Sainte Hermelle) in a fourth and fifth position.
