On his home soil, the French pair, Patrice Delaveau and Orient Express HDC (by Quick Star) topped the 1.50m Grand Prix in Cagnes-Sur-Mer. Orient returned in action after a break since August 2015. The 14-year-old stallion was about 3 seconds faster as Germany's Gerrit Nieberg and Contagio (by Colman). Delaveau's compatriot Timothee Anciaume and Kiamon (by Kolibri) followed in a third place. The pair was the slowest combination to clear the jump-off. After that the four-faulters came in place. Maelle Martin and Giovani de la Pomme (by Schindler de Muze) followed in a fourth place with a faster time as Delaveau but one rail down. Also Neal Fearon set a faster time. Together with Cavalino (by Converter) he completed the top five.
