Retirement ceremony for Ninja La Silla in Gothenburg

RolfGoranBengtssonEKMadrid2011_KitHoughtonFEINinja La Silla has competed at several championships with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, and his career has been filled with amazing results. The 18-year-old Guidam-son became the European Champion in Madrid in 2011, individual silver medalist at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong in 2008. Further Rolf-Göran and Ninja obtained a 6th place at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010 and ended first at several 5-star Grand Prix's and other international competitions. "It has been an honor for me to ride such a fantastic horse as Ninja La Silla and I'm very thankful to Alfonso Romo for giving me the opportunity to ride him. To be part of the journey that Ninja La Silla and I have had together with such great results in the championships is something that every rider wishes for. Ninja La Silla has a fantastic personality and is not just a horse, he is a friend and he really deserves to be thanked off on home soil in front of the Swedish crowds at Gothenburg Horse Show," states Rolf on Stall Bengtsson & Kristoffersen's website. Ninja La Silla will spend his retirement in the fields at Stud La Silla in Mexico, after a goodbye ceremony held on April 26 during the Gothenburg Horse Show in Sweden. source: equnews.be/ Rolf-Göran Bengtsson photo: FEI/ K.
