After the Royal Windsor Grand Prix this morning, won by Joseph Davidson, it was the Palm Speed Stakes that captured the audience attentions. This CSI 5* International Jumping Class turned into quit the battle. With eleven clear rounds and many fast rounds. Winner is the British rider Robert Smith with Cimano E (v. Unaniem) with a clear round in 54.01 seconds. Starting halfway through the class he set the time for all riders to follow, making for some great competition. In the end he proved to be the fastest and unbeatable. The second place is for Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano and Einstein (v. Clinton). Who als finished in a clear round, in 54.78 seconds. Just a few miliseconds behind Smith. Olivier Robert takes home third price. The French rider saddled Vivaldi des Menaux (v. Chippendale Z) and stopped the time at 55.56 seconds. The fourth and fifth place go to Belgium rider Wilm Vermeir with Gentiane de la Pomme (v. Shindler de Muze) and British rider William Whitaker with Lammy Beach (v. Beach Ball).
