According to a press release from Stall Bengtsson & Kristoffersen the cooperation between the La Silla Stud and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson will end after the World Cup final in Gothenburg at the end of April. The decision have been agreed upon in a friendly mutual understanding and reflects changes in the business concept of both parties. As Ninja La Silla will retire during the Gothenburg Horse Show the ending of the cooperation between de Stud and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson will take an official ending. The successful gelding will spend his retirement in the fields in Mexico at the La Silla Stud taking care of the youngsters.
However Casall La Silla and Quintero La Silla will remain with Rolf, as the two stallions are owned by the Holsteiner Verband and not La Silla Stud. The other La Silla-horses will be ridden by Mexian rider in the future. Alfonso Romo (the owner of La Silla stud) wants to support the Mexican national jumping team with them. "We have had a fantastic time with great successes and unforgettable moments over the past nine years," states Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, "and in Breitenburg we are proud to have been part of a successful team like this!"
