Simone Blum on top of Lausanne's Grand Prix

No less than eleven combination qualified for the jump-off in the CSI5* Grand Prix in Lausanne. The 1.60m course counts as qualifier for the World Equestrian Games in Tyron in 2018. A total of 44 combinations took the start. Eventually five pairs crossed the finish faultless. Simone Blum jumped to victory with her 10-year-old Askari-daughter, DSP Alice. The pair stopped the clock in 38.29 seconds and stayed ahead of Roger Yves Bost with almost one second difference. 'Bosty' earlier this week already claimed his win. This time he settled as runner-up with Sydney Une Prinve (by Baloubet du Rouet). The French pair stopped the clock faultless in 39.27 seconds. Simon Delestre followed as third with Chadino (by Chacco-Blue). Just outside the stage, Nicola Philippaerts jumped into fourth with the Holsteiner-sire, Chilli Willi (by Casall). Jan Tops' rider, Alberto Zorzi completed the top five with the 13-year-old gelding, Ego van Orti (by Vigo d'Arsouilles).   Click here for the results
