The competition of L.A. this weekend means the start of a new season of the Masters Grand Slam. The best riders of the world will be competing again for a lot of prize money.

It may be no surprise that the Dutch rider Harrie Smolders is competing this weekend as well, but the choice of his horse sure is! Smolders will be riding Zinius, a 12-year old gelding recently bought by Victoria Gulliksen. But in September there has been made a change in the FEI database: Eurohorse Stables (Axel Verlooy) is mentioned as owner now. Eurohorse and Gulliksen already collaborated in the past. Gullisken bought her top horse Bokai (Up To Date) at the stables of Verlooy. Smolders also rode the horse before it was sold to the Swedish rider. Zinius isn't the only horse Smolders will be riding in L.A. He will be starting his other top horse Don VHP Z. This horse is in excellent shape since he won classes at the GCT of Rome and Vienna.
