Horse Sport Ireland’s senior Show Jumping Team Manager Robert Splaine has today announced the Irish Show jumping squad for the Nations Cup of Belgium which will take place in Lummen on Friday 29th April. The squad of 5 from which 4 riders will be selected to jump is, in alphabetical order: Wexford’s Bertram Allen riding Molly Malone V Tipperary’s Greg Broderick riding MHS Going Global(ISH) Waterford’s Anthony Condon riding Aristio Tipperary’s Denis Lynch riding All Star 5 Meath’s Cian O’Connor riding Good Luck Speaking about his selection Robert Splaine said; “Lummen is the first of our Furusiyya League points gaining shows and I am hopeful that we get off to a good start. We are fielding a strong team and I’m looking forward to the challenge.” Each country in the top division is allocated 4 point scoring Nations Cups out of the 8 Nations Cup shows in the series. Countries can compete in other Nations Cups in the series but their results at these shows will not contribute to their league points.
