Swiss riders rule the show in Ascona's CSI2* Grand Prix

While everyone is waiting for the big CSI5* Grand Prix that will be ridden this afternoon, earlier today it was up to the 2-star riders to show their worth in their Grand Prix. 35 combinations entered the show ring for this 1m45 class. 13 of them jumped a clear forst round and came back for the jump-off. In that jump-off it was the Swiss lady rider Martina Meroni who speeded to victory. She and her 12-year old Galoubet A mare Rock de Vains jumped a clear round in 43,52 seconds. With this time she was more then two seconds faster then the Japanese Tadahiro Hayashi who ended on second place. With Corona's M&M (f. Untouchable) under the saddle, he left all fences untouched and finished in 45,67 seconds. Melanie Freimüller and the KWPN stallion Carino B (f. Carthino Z) completed the podium. They jumped a clear jump-off as well and finished in 46,03 seconds. Jordan Schoch and C'est Sue B (f. Casiro I) ended on fourth place. Hansueli Sprunger and Isaac v. Bisschop (f.
