Christian Ahlmann's fifteen year old stallion Taloubet Z (Galoubet A x Polydor) has finally returned to the sport after undergoing surgery on his elbow last year. The last time we saw Taloubet Z compete was in the LGCT Grand Prix of Madrid in May 2014, where he had an uncharacteristic 16 faults. Taloubet was then set to compete in the FEI Nations Cup in Rome but was withdrawn due to an injury he sustained while he was training at home. It was then announced that he would undergo surgery on his elbow and recover for the rest of 2014/early 2015. Taloubet Z made his comeback last week in the 2* Spring Tour in Lanaken, Belgium at the Zangersheide Stud. He competed in classes that ranged from 1.30m to 1.40 and jumped clear in each round, albeit collecting a few time faults as Ahlmann wanted to ease him back into competition and take everything at a slow pace. He is expected to return to top competition within the next few months.  Taloubet Z out of competition for the rest of 2014 Photo : Ahlmann and Taloubet Z in action - Equnews.fr
