Philippaerts_2013_02_10Ludo Philippaert's speedy stallion, Tauber Van Het Kapelhof, is ready for his retirement. The 17-year-old stallion inter alia won the Grand Prix-competitions of Aachen and Spruce Meadows with his Belgian rider Ludo Philippaerts. Last year Tauber underwent a colic surgery. In february 2013 the stallion out of Darco jumped his last competition in the French city Bordeaux. "Tauber is the best speed horse I was ever able to ride," states Ludo Philippaerts. "Together with Tauber I jumped together 53 international victories, even more we ended 108-times in the international top three. He was and still is a true winner. As the competitions are evolving to more and more difficult courses and he is getting on age we decided that Tauber is ready for his deserved retirement." concludes Ludo Philippaerts. © press release/ equnews.com - photo: Noëlle Floyd
