It was a British trio on top in Saturday’s biggest class at the Longines Hong Kong Masters. The 1.50 Gucci Gold Cup saw John Whitaker taking the win after a clear and fast winning round on Argento (Arko III x Gasper). The living legend was followed by a much younger rider; Jessica Mendoza finished 0.62 seconds behind on Spirit T (Tornado x Carnaval Drum). Third was no other than world no. one Scott Brash on Hello Annie – also he clear in the winning round (Contendro I x For Pleasure). The first class of the day – the 1.45 Laiterie de Montaigu Trophy – went to Pieter Devos on Equipharma Dax van 'Dabdijhoev (Desir du Chateau x Clinton). Marco Kutscher followed close behind on the time riding Van Gogh (Numero Uno x Bernstein), while third place went to Maikel van der Vleuten on VDL Groep Eureka (Chin Chin x Quidam de Revel). click here for results
