While the European world cup riders are battling it out in Leipzig, the Middle East gathers in Sharjah for the CSI3* world cup qualifier. In the 1.45m CSI3* class only the Arab riders were already qualified for the Grand Prix. Nevertheless it was Turkey who claimed the victory thanks to Omer Karaevli and Rabane du Sury. The pair finished clear in 56.11 seconds, qualifying for the Grand Prix. Ukraines Ferenc Szentirmai and the Quick Lauro Z-son, Quickdiamond followed in a second place after a clear finish in 56.59 seconds. David Will and Mic Mac du Taillard made it to the third place in this class. The top five was completed by Vladimir Tuganov with BlueBuster and Jörg Naeve with Carena 11 in fourth and fifth place.
