In La Coruna, the last class of today has just ended. In this Longines Grand Prix, the fences were built up to 1,60m. All competitors had to jump a difficult first round, but in the end eight combinations could to it clear, resulting in a jump-off with eight riders. In that jump-off, it became very clear that everyone wanted to win. The victory went to the Irish rider Billy Twomey. With the 13-year old Diaghilev (f. Vangelis S) under the saddle, he rode a clear jump-off in 38,38 seconds. With this he beat the Italian rider Alberto Zorzi. He and Fair Light van't Heike (f. Vigo d'Arsouilles) left the wood untouched and finished in 38,64 seconds. Max Kühner and Cornet Kalua (f. Cornet Obolensky) completed the top three. They kept the zero on the score board and finished in 40,28 seconds. The Spanish rider Manuel Fernandez Saro ended on fourth place with Cannavaro 9 (f. Cornet Obolensky). Tobias Meyer and the 11-year old KWPN mare Avanti (f. Quattro) took account of the fifth place. Click here for the results
