It was an exciting jump-off under the sun, this evening in Palm Springs. The $50,000 Horse Equestrian Grand Prix had only nine horse-rider combinations in the jump-off. Familiar face, Jaclyn Duff and her majestic grey Pater Noster, were one of the four combinations that had a double clear round in this Grand Prix. The Alberta jumping pair was in the lead for a long time, until the second but last combination entered the ring. Gold medalist, Will Simpson, and the Dude finished their round in 39.002 seconds, good for victory. With this win, Simpson takes home his fourth victory in a row in two weeks. Last pair in the ring, Carl Cook and Tembla finished in 39.334 seconds, good for a second place. Jaclyn Duff and Paternoster returned home with the third spot. Will Simpson also claimed the seventh place in this Grand Prix with Katie Riddle. The pair jumped one rail down on the Canada/USA vertical. Allyssa Hecht and her own Calero were the fourth horse-rider combination in the Grand Prix to finish double clear.
