William Funnell and Holly Smith dominate stage for Great Britain in Derby Hickstead

In The Al Shira'aa Derby of 1,60m-high fences this afternoon, the British riders ensured a clear victory for their home country. In the jump-off we only saw William Funnell and Holly Smith. Funnell took the first place with ten-year-old Billy Congo-son Billy Buckingham in 89,62 seconds with four penalties. Smith jumped Quality Old Joker (OBOS Quality) to the second place. Ireland's Shane Breen and Can Ya Makan (Canturo) were the fastest in the first round with four penalties en took the third place. He ended up as the only foreign rider in the top five, because the fourth and fifth place went to the British riders.
