William Whitaker on top at the Sunshine Tour

The Friday Longines Class was claimed by Great Britain. The Whitaker family dominated the class in Spain. William Whitaker topped the 1.50m Longines Ranking competition. With the 13-year-old gelding Fandango (Last Liberty 988 x Krocket 651), the British rider produced one of thirteen clear rounds to move on to the jump-off where he was the fastest one stopping the clock on 37.16 seconds. Over a second behind followed Ireland’s Richard Howley on Chinook (Tygo x Wellington) while Spain’s own Rutherford Latham took care of the third place aboard Ramses d’Auge (Hello Pierville).
