Wout-jan van der Schans takes another win for the Dutch in Barcelona

It's been a week that has been dominated by the Dutch at the CSIO5* in Barcelona, and today has been no exception. Wout-Jan van der Schans won the "Queen's Cup - Segura Viudas Trophy", the 1.50m Grand Prix with the 11 year gelding Capetown. Twelve riders made it through to the jump-off out of fourty four starters. Van der Schans was the fastest of those in the jump-off, crossing the finish line with 39.83 seconds on the clock. In second place was current FEI World Cup Champion Daniel Deusser. Daniel and the 9 year old mare Pironella were just a little bit slower, stopping the clock at 39.90 seconds. Taking third spot was home rider Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and the 9 year old gelding Rockfeller de Pleville Bois Margot. They had a time of 41.45 seconds and the home crowd were delighted to see a Spanish rider on the podium. Full Results
