The Longine Pro Am Cup will be one of the highlights of the upcoming Longines Global Champions Tour of Monaco next week. This great novelty of international show jumping was first launched in 2010, the brain child of show Patron Charlott Casiraghi. Last year's winners were the jubilant pairing of Mark McAuley riding Loriot and Maddalena Valenzano Menada on Quidana.
On Friday night of this year's show, the Pro Am teams consisting of one professional rider and one amateur rider will compete for the coveted title. This unique competition, which links the professional and amateur levels, emphasises the family spirit of this sport. The Longines Pro Am Cup will be one of the feature classes of the day on Friday ahead of the main event - the Longines Global Champions Tour of Monaco Grand Prix - on Saturday evening.
