Yesterday night it was Bertram Allen who won the Longines Grand Prix in Paris. After the event we asked him for a short reaction. "I only competed in a couple Global Champions Tour editions. Since this year, I am back on top of the Longines ranking and have the opportunity to participate in the CSI5* events. Being 18 year old, it is an amazing feeling to end first in this wonderful Grand Prix. It is a special feeling," states Allen. "My horse is not the youngest, but he is certainly one of the best. Although he is 17 years old, he still does everything in his power to bring home the gold medal. I like to thank Jan Tops , Longines and their team. Also course builder Uliano Vezzani. Last but not least thanks to my crew, they're all a part of this victory." Second place was for Luciana Diniz, the current leader of the Global Champions Tour ranking. "Paris is a special and graceful place. It is a wonder to be able to start here," states Diniz. "I would like to tell a little story. My childeren always ask me, Mommy why do you love the competitions so much? And I always tell them, appreciate the Best of the day. If they play tennis, I ride my horse... we can only do our best, make ourselves and our nearest proud and try to reach the top!" Darragh Kenny had a total different respond on his third place. "It is wonderful. I am grateful being here in Paris, everything was well organized and it is a wonder. My horse jumped amazing today. Even if I didn't go as fast as the other two riders, I am still proud, certainly as my compatriot took the win. I hear the anthem of my country and that's an amazing feeling."
