Emanuele Gaudiano and Chalou secure Friday's biggest win in CSI5* 1.55m at CHI Al Shaqab

The CSI5* 1.55m main class at CHI Al Shaqab in Doha had Emanuele Gaudiano and Chalou ahead of the competition!

The 19-headed jump-off yielded nine flawless combinations. Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) once again proved that Chalou is not at the end of his Latin and steered the 15-year-old Chacco-Blue offspring to victory. With barely six hundredths of a second difference, they left the French Jeanne Sadran (FRA) behind. The rider had the BWP gelding Kosmo van Hof ter Boone (Arko III) under the saddle. Half a second later, Malin Baryard-Johnsson (SWE) followed in third place in the saddle of H&M Indiana, a BWP mare by Kashmir van Schuttershof.

In fourth was John Whitaker (GBR) aboard of Equine America Unick du Francport. Pieter Devos (BEL) guided the only 9-year-old BWP mare Casual DV Z, a homebred product of Cornet Obolensky, faultlessly to the finish line and was noted in fifth place. The Belgian combinations had a strong representation with Abdel Saïd and Bonne Amie (A Big Boy) on six and Niels Bruynseels who followed in seventh place in the saddle of Origi vd Vosberg (Echo van t Spieveld).
