Twelve combinations entered the jump-off in the LGCT Grand Prix of Ireland.
The first faultless jump-off was executed by Francois Xavier Boudant. The Frenchman relied on Brazyl du Mezel (sired by Haloubet de Gorze) to keep all the poles up. They set the benchmark time at 38.15 seconds. British rider Samuel Hutton also completed a faultless round riding Casablanca-H (sired by Conteur), but his time of 39.35 seconds wasn't enough to overtake Boudant's lead.
The third clear round came from Harry Charles with Romeo 88 (sired by Contact van de Heffinck). The fourteen-year-old Zangersheide stallion left the poles untouched and was guided by Charles to the finish in 38.65 seconds. Faster than his fellow countryman Hutton, but still not quicker than the Frenchman Boudant.
Finally, it was left to the Allen brothers to take their turn. The youngest, Harry Allen, started off with Calculatus (sired by Cachassini). The nine-year-old stallion made two mistakes, resulting in an eleventh-place finish. Brother Bertram entered the arena last. Competing in front of a home crowd, he rode Pacino Amiro (sired by Nc Amiro). They also had faults and ended with four penalty points.
