Joseph Stockdale and Equine Rescue Services Kandleford best in 5* 1.45m Opening Class in Fontainebleau

On Friday, the riders and horses for the 5* competition in France's Fontainebleau had their first encounter with the course. With obstacles at a height of 1.45m, Joseph Stockdale put himself on top of the results. 

Aboard of Equine Rescue Services Kandleford (Kannan), Stockdale (GBR) finished without a fault with a time of 59,61s. Following in second place was Belgium's Wilm Vermeir (BEL). With the 9 years old Eytuka of Two Notes Z (Emerald van't Ruytershof), Vermeir stopped the clock at 61,38s. A time of 61,66s put Olivier Perreau (FRA) and Bresil de Carnaval Santa Rosa (Mylord Carthago) on third. 

Vermeir wasn't the only Belgian rider to make his mark. The young Zoe Conter (BEL) steered Tombola Z (Toulon) to a fifth place with 62,17s on the clock. In front of them on four was Janika Sprunger (SUI) who finished in 61,80s with Kinmar Scarlett (Akarad Hero Z).
