In Bonheiden, Marlon Modolo Zanotelli kept two local combinations from the victory of the 3* 1.50m Grand Prix.
Only eight of the 58 competitors were allowed to start in the jump-off of this 3* Grand Prix in Bonheiden, including four Belgians. Pascale Haep was the only Belgian who managed to stay clear over the whole line in the saddle of the nine-year-old Iashin Sitte (by Bamako de Muze). But it was the Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli who also managed to ride with no faults. With Heureuse Nouvelle WH (v. Cardento 933), he was half a second faster than Haep and put the victory to his name.
The Belgian José Thiry had a jumping fault on Jalisco W van de Wolvenhoek (by Vivaldi du Seigneur) and thus came third. The Dutch Jody van Gerwen was good for fourth place with Bright Side 3 (v. Balou du Rouet). Dieter Vermeiren rode Kingston Town 111 Z (by Kashmir van Schuttershof) to five while Kirsten Rombouts, as the last Belgian combination in the jump-off, finished seventh on Mowgli KR (by Thunder vd Zuuthoeve).
