The PanAm Games came to a close after Stephan de Freitas Barcha (BRA) was crowned as the individual winner.
28 combinations qualified for the third and final round for victory.
Stephan de Freitas Barcha (BRA) knocked down only one rail in the very last round while riding Chevaux Primavera Imperio Egipcio (Calvaro FC, breeder: Haras Montana) and was crowned the winner after the decisive final round. After the penultimate round, the ten-year-old son of Comilfo Plus Z, Landon, ridden by Kent Farrington, had four faults. The duo managed to climb the ranks and ultimately received the silver medal! Fellow countryman McLain Ward jumped to bronze with Contagious (Contagio, breeder: Andreas Eisenmenger).
Laura Kraut (USA) guided her ten-year-old Dorado 212 (Tailormade Diarado's Boy, breeder: Bodo Grabs) to fourth place. In fifth place was the Zangersheide gelding Nimrod de Muze, a son of Nabab de Reve from the breeding of Eric Polfliet, ridden by Pedro Veniss (BRA).
