Virginie Thonon and Cyril Cools were the two pillars of the Belgian team during this Nations Cup. Thonon delivered two flawless rounds riding Edgard de Prefontaine (Contact vd Heffinck), and Cyril Cools also maintained a clean sheet with Milton Z (Mylord Carthago) in both rounds. Marine Scauflaire had a shaky start on Hortus d'Hoogpoort (Diamant de Semilly) but completely redeemed herself with a faultless ride in the second round. Jérôme Guery only made one appearance with Enjoy d'Eole (Kannan).

The fate of the Swiss team rested in the hands of Barbara Schnieper and Canice (Cascadello I). The duo could afford a maximum of two time faults to secure the win, but any jumping faults would cost them the victory to Belgium, who was following in second place with only four faults.

The Swiss team concluded with silver followed by France who took home the bronze medal.
