Horse welfare is the theme that currently dominates the sport. However, this does not necessarily have to be negative. Belgium's top rider, Gregory Wathelet, realizes more than ever that the presence of social media can once again put our sport in a positive light. "Our sport consists of beautiful moments with the horse, that's what we need to show," responds Wathelet. Simultaneously, the show jumper offers some nuance. "Although we have an abundance of good trainers, there are also people who think they are trainers but do not have the knowledge. There is still some work to be done..."
