Since its founding in 2020, the platform has grown into an established name for showjumping-bred foals, young showjumpers, broodmares, and genetically valuable embryos, offered at realistic prices and sold to enthusiasts in more than 100 countries worldwide.
“What started in 2020 as an ambitious idea has developed into a mature online auction platform with a close-knit community of both breeders and buyers,” say founders Alwin Scholten and Niels Mulder. “This year as well, we are committed to proven quality, a selective approach, and maintaining the trust that buyers and sellers place in us.”
Looking back on a strong 2025
With 314 auction items spread across seven auctions, Paardenveilingonline once again demonstrated its value in 2025 as an international auction platform for sport-oriented breeders and buyers.
The foals, young showjumpers, broodmares, and embryos attracted a global audience of more than 200,000 visitors, generating over 1 million page views. The bidding pages alone were refreshed nearly 10,000 times, highlighting the strong engagement and live excitement during the auctions.
The sales results underline this international interest:

Average prices rose to €13,500, with top lots selling for over €30,000.

Sales rates reached up to 90%, with strong performances across both foals and sport horses.

Buyers from more than 100 countries participated actively, from Europe to North America.
Interest in genetically attractive embryos and filly foals was particularly strong, while demand for young showjumpers remained consistently high. “We see that the combination of quality, transparency, and realistic pricing resonates internationally,” the founders explain. “Both new clients and returning buyers found their way to our platform, confirming the trust we have built over the past six years.”
