The first auction of 2026 is behind us, and Paardenveilingonline can look back on a strong start to the season. With 83% of all horses sold and an average price for the young horses of nearly €13,000, the March edition confirms that the international market for jumping-bred horses is very much alive. The auction attracted 14,000 visitors from more than 100 countries, with particularly strong interest from Europe, as well as the United States and Mexico. "The 2026 season start fills us with confidence. We see buyers from all over the world finding their way to us and that trust gives us energy for the year ahead," say founders Alwin and Niels.
Top prices: young horses up to €28,000
The highest prices were shared by two horses. Sissy Paola (Donthargos x Apardi), a half-sister to World Cup competitor Donna Paola, sold for €28,000 to a buyer in France. Equally €28,000 was achieved by the stallion Spyros (El Salvador x Pavarotti van de Helle), a striking talent from a Hanoverian damline, who also travels to France.

International interest was broad. Toulouse de Regor (Mr. Cornet de Regor x Lupicor), from the direct damline of Grand Prix winner Ginger-Blue, found a new owner in the United States for €22,000. Rambo (Highway TN x Ginus), paired with the respected Kattebel damline, also makes the journey to the United States for €18,500. Upsy Daisy HV Z (Uricas vd Kattevennen x Zapatero VDL), granddaughter of Grand Prix mare Eurocommerce Fortaleza, will likewise travel to the United States for €18,500. Checkmate DXB (Casanova de Beaufour DXB x Cassini I), a half-sister to no fewer than three horses competing at 1.55/1.60m level, sold for €15,000 to a buyer in the United Kingdom.
