First confirmations for Argentina Polo Season 2016

For the coming Polo Argentina season the "big six" scheduled to play the Triple Crown have been confirmed. We await the list of teams for the Qualification Tournament, and eventually, the Jockey Club Open. But one team has been confirmed: Chapaleufu. The lineup is made by: Pepe, Terrera, Andrade and Eduardo Heguy. Chapaleufu played the 2015 Triple Crown with an all-Heguy lineup, three brothers Eduardo, Pepe and Nachi, alongside cousin Bautista. In 2016, Chapaleufu will play the qualifiers with a 31-goal lineup. Guillermo Terrera (8) and Brazilian Rodrigo Ribeiro de Andrade (8) will join Eduardo (8) and Pepe (7), following the departures of Nachi and Bautista Heguy. Terrera is returning to Chapaleufu after having played the 2015 Triple Crown with La Aguada. "We already played with Terrera in 2012, but only the Jockey Club Open," explains Eduardo, better known as Ruso. "That year, he broke his right collarbone and I had that virus that took me off the field for the entire season. Bauti and Fran Elizalde played back then. So we felt that we owed something to him; I like him a lot and we have worked quite a bit with El Remanso. So I think this is a good opportunity to play together in Palermo." Meanwhile, 2015 saw Rodrigo Ribeiro de Andrade take the role of substitute for La Dolfina, and he filled in for Adolfo Cambiaso during the semifinal of the Hurlingham Open. "Rodrigo is a great number 3; he is a strong player and has a lot of potential to show in Argentine high goal,"continues Eduardo. In terms of horses and expectations, "Ruso" says: "Rodrigo will take many of his horses overseas, so Pepe and I will give him some, as well. And our expectations are to qualify, have fun and work well together."
