On Friday evening, the sporting program in Ocala concluded with the World Sport Horse Sales. A total of 15 horses were offered. Last year’s top price was surpassed after the seven-year-old Casall son, Culiko EB, was hammered down at $370,000.
A local buyer laid down $370,000 for the auction topper, Culiko EB (Casall x Colman). The gelding comes from the breeding program of Rolf-Göran & Evi Bengtsson. However, this top price was also matched by the palomino pony, Neonlight. The German-bred pony is moving to a well-known hunter stable.
The second-highest price went to the seven-year-old Hurricane (Halifax van het Kluizebos x Quaprice Bois Margot). The new owners paid $360,000!
