While show jumping takes center stage in Mechelen, international jumping is also underway in Al Ain (UAE). Abdel Said continues his strong form in the Middle East, riding Quaker Brimbelles Z (Quicksilver st simeon x Hickstead) to victory in the 1.55m CSI3 World Cup Grand Prix*.
Following the event, Sultan Mohammed Khalifa Al Yahyaei reacted positively to the outcome. "We remain committed to expanding the sport in our region," he stated.
Vladimir Tuganov followed on the podium with Conquida de Revel PS (Conthargos x Quidam De Revel). The podium of this 1.55m Grand Prix was completed by Guido Grimaldi and the Dutch-bred Gentleman (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Oklund).
A day earlier, Sophie Hinners won the 1.45m Grand Prix qualifier with the KWPN-bred Lommers (Carrera vdl x Quasimodo Z).
