Saudi Arabia's Abdullah Alsharbatly claimed top honors in the CSIO4* 1.55m Grand Prix in Rabat, Morocco. Riding the SF mare Diriyah, Alsharbatly delivered a blistering double-clear performance to secure an unbeatable victory in the decisive second round.
Alsharbatly guided Diriyah (s. Baloubet du Rouet x Diamant de Semilly, ex. Dubai du Cedre), bred by Sylvain Pitois, across the finish line in a rapid 50.83 seconds in the second phase, leaving the rest of the field behind. France's Olivier Perreau took second place aboard Himalaya du Temple (s. Toulon x Radieux), bred by Claude Astier, stopping the clock clear in 51.65 seconds. The podium was completed by Switzerland's Edouard Schmitz with Gamin Van 'T Naastveldhof (s. Chacco Chacco x Toulon), bred by P. De Heer, who also kept all rails intact in 52.01 seconds.
Italy's Roberto Previtali stopped the clock in 52.44 seconds with Conthargo-Blue (s. Conthargos x Chacco-Blue) to capture fourth place, while Germany's Harm Lahde rounded out the top five aboard Gsi Sir Dominator (s. Dominator 2000 Z x Arpeggio) after posting a double-clear time of 54.71 seconds.
