Twenty years ago, the cream of the crop from the equestrian world gathered in Aachen. At the time, the World Championships were still organized under the banner of the World Equestrian Games (World Equestrian Games). They featured endurance and reining, but lacked para-dressage, bringing the total to five shared disciplines. Two decades later, the field of competitors has logically been thoroughly reshuffled… although a handful of indestructible veterans are bravely holding their ground.
