CSI5* 1m45

The CSI5* 1m45 class at the Al Shaqab Cup 2026 was won by Bassem Mohammed, who produced the fastest clear round aboard Wathnan Chaccball (Chacco-Blue) in this special two-phase competition. The class, where both speed and accuracy are key, highlighted the strong form of the Qatari riders.

“It was a fast class, and I had a very fast horse. He is still new to me, so I’m very pleased that this is already our second win together. This was also his first five-star class, which makes the result even more special. I’m very happy with the way he is performing, and hopefully we can continue to build on this in the classes ahead.”

Fellow Qatari Faleh Suwead Al Ajami secured second place with Wathnan Quality Street (Obos Quality), making it a one-two finish for the home nation. Third place went to Syria’s Mohamad Mogheeth Alshehab with Saphir Z (Sandro Boy), also delivering a double clear performance.

Fourth place stayed in Qatari hands thanks to Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi with Isis (Bodubai), while Austria’s Gerfried Puck completed the top five aboard Lavisto (Falaise de Muze).
