This weekend at the Sunshine Tour, competition took place at the CSI3* level. Earlier in the week, the Nations Cup was already one of the highlights, but today the anticipation was high for the Grand Prix. With jumps built up to 1.55 meters, it promised to be an exciting battle among 60 different pairs. The main course proved challenging, but ten pairs managed to complete the first round without faults in jumping or time. The victory went to young Belgian rider Mathieu Bourdeaud'Hui. He impressively guided the 10-year-old BWP stallion Oscar de Homage (by Quinto vh Maarlo Z) through the jump-off course, stopping the clock at 38.10 seconds.
With this, he kept a strong competitor, Cian O'Connor, at bay. The Irish rider guided Bently de Sury (by Sunday de Riverland) to second place. The pair also went faultless, stopping the clock at 38.85 seconds. Nicolas Sers took third place, guiding the 10-year-old Kannan son Eleven de Riverland through a clear round and finishing in 39.12 seconds.
Charlotte Leoni was the best female rider, placing fourth. She relied on Miss Marie van't Winnenhof (by Edjaz van't Merelsnest) to jump a faultless round in 40.39 seconds. Derin Demirsoy and O-Kannarock (by Rock'N Roll Semilly) completed the top five.
