The FEI World Jumping Championship in Aachen takes place just a few days before the Brussels Masters. As a result, 2026 will be a year in which riders, owners, and teams must plan their schedules with extra care. Many top combinations will have just completed a grueling World Championship, making their participation in a full CSI5* week less of a given.

To accommodate this, the organization is modifying the Friday schedule. This ensures that room remains for a highly competitive international field, while giving riders more flexibility to include the Brussels Masters in their seasonal planning.

"It is important that the horses can be managed carefully," says Stephan Conter. "We want the best combinations in the world at the start. By adjusting the Friday program, we create the right conditions for them to include our show in their schedules. Therefor there will be no Nations Cup competition, instead a general CSI5* class!"
