Gaillard de la Pomme was born on March 31, 2006, in Belgium, bred from two absolute top horses: sire Nabab de Rêve and dam Narcotique II de Muze.

Ridden by the likes of Wesley Mulder and Dani G. Waldman, he competed internationally up to 1.45 m and regularly finished in the ribbons. One of his standout performances was a second place in Lummen (CSI3*, 1.35 m) in 2016. His compact build, quick reflexes, and consistent attitude made him a beloved sport horse among his riders.

After his sport career, Gaillard de la Pomme took on a new role as a breeding stallion, and it was there that he truly left his mark. In 2019, he was ranked number one internationally among the youngest sires (offspring up to and including nine years old), thanks to a remarkable number of young progeny already performing at a high level. His offspring, including Finn Lente (1.70 m Grand Prix with José Maria Larocca), Fair Play (1.60 m GP), and G’s Fabian (1.60 m GP), confirmed his reputation as a producer of jumpers with scope, temperament, and suppleness.

With his passing, the show jumping world loses a stallion who proved his worth both in the ring and in breeding. His bloodlines and progeny, however, will continue to reach the highest podiums for years to come, ensuring that the name Gaillard de la Pomme will resonate in the equestrian world for a long time.
