Fan-favourite Amy Millar, aboard veteran mount Christiano, ruled the day as we kicked off The ‘Continental’, presented by Rolex. The dynamic duo flew across the finish line clear, in a time of 63.16s for a first-place finish in the FEI 5* 1.45m Mission: Possible competition on the All Canada Ring.
Sixty-eight horse/rider combinations challenged Canadian FEI Course Designer Peter Grant’s 495m track, complete with 11 jumping obstacles (13 efforts). It was a one-round competition against the clock where the rider with the fastest time and fewest faults was crowned champion.
Millar and Christiano (Canoso x Compliment) referred Erynn Ballard aboard Coline de Will (Cornet Obolensky x Coronino) to the runner-up position. Kyle King completed the stage aboard Sig Chiari (Cristallino II x Landadel). King also claimed the fifth place aboard Odysseus, while Canada's own, Mario Deslauriers jumped into a fourth position aboard Costa Quick Ps (Conthargos).
