Last week Germany's Christian Ahlmann took the top honors at the Al Shira'aa Horse Show winning the 1.45m speed class aboard Otterongo Alpha Z (breeder: Josef Poets). 'Thrilled to see Christian Ahlmann continue his strong form," the organizers confirmed today as the pair jumped into the lead in the 1.50m CSI4*-w competition against the clock.
Christian Ahlmann and his 11-year-old Zangersheide-son by Darco were just not one second faster as Michael Pender and Marion Hughes' bred, HHS Fortune (Catoki). The stage of this main class was completed by Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi and the 11-year-old Chacco Bay (Chaccato).
The pair was followed by Belgium's Constant Van Paesschen and Diaz du Thot (Ready Boy des Forets 'Hn'), while the top five was completed faultless by Ireland's Shane Breen and Scarteen (Golden Hawk).
