Course designers Guilherme Jorge and Oscar Soberon set a generous time allowed for the initial start list of 33 combinations. The challenging conditions proved decisive, leading to six pre-class withdrawals and five mid-course retirements. Ultimately, just six horse-and-rider pairs advanced to the jump-off.

Bluman entered as the penultimate pair in the jump-off, delivering a tactical and measured clear round in 44.26 seconds. The win served as sweet redemption for Bluman and the 10-year-old mare, who finished second in last year’s edition by a razor-thin margin of just 0.03 seconds to Kent Farrington and Toulayna.

World No. 2 Kent Farrington (USA) posted the fastest jump-off time of 41.31 seconds with Descartes SR (Caramelo), but a single rail cost him the top spot, settling for second place on four faults. Fellow American star McLain Ward rounded out the podium in third, stopping the clock in 43.31 seconds with four faults aboard Lestro VD Valckenborg (Stakkato Gold, breeder: Agro Lettelbert). The pair was followed by Bliss Heers aboard Christian's Cash (Christian), referring Simon McCarthy and Igor Gph (Harley VDL) to the fifth spot.

The final competitor in the jump-off, Mark Bluman (ISR), looked set to challenge for the lead with Landon De Nyze (Comilfo Plus) before a refusal at the double combination forced an early retirement, placing sixth.

The individual result had significant implications for the overall Major League Show Jumping standings:

  • Individual Ranking: Kent Farrington retains his position at the top of the individual leaderboard, while Daniel Bluman moves up to second place ahead of Ireland's Shane Sweetnam. Nina Mallevaey and Mark Bluman complete the top five.

  • Team Standings: Ward’s podium finish propelled the Roadrunners into second place overall with 144 points—closing the gap to leader Team KPF (151 points) to just seven points. Maccabi United sits third with 108 points.
