In the 1.60m CSI5* World Cup in Riyadh, six combinations competed in the second round. Riding the 10-year-old stallion Zinedream (Zinedine x Contender), David Will secured the World Cup victory with a lead of over one second! He pushed Christian Ahlmann into second place.
David Will and the 10-year-old stallion, bred by Gerd Küst, edged out Christian Ahlmann, who rode the BWP gelding Mandato van de Neerheide (Emerald van 't Ruytershof), into second place. Ahlmann and the gelding, bred by Eric Van Giel, stayed comfortably ahead of Ioli Mytillinaiou, who placed third with the 13-year-old Toulon son, l'Artiste de Toxandra (bred by Karel Sebrechts and Werner Dierckx).
Only this top three managed to stay faultless across both rounds. With one jumping fault, Gerfried Puck finished fourth aboard the 11-year-old Equitron Naxcel V (Balou du Rouet). Riding the 10-year-old Emir de Moens Harcour (Urlevent du Bary), Egor Shchibrik ultimately claimed fifth place.
