The 1.50m Telegraaf Prize delivered thrilling top-level sport in Amsterdam. Thirteen combinations qualified for the jump-off of this main event. In the jump-off, the times kept improving one after the other. Ultimately, Daniel Deusser claimed victory with the 11-year-old BWP horse Otello de Guldenboom (breeder: Hugo Versnick).

"Otello really knew where he needed to go. The jump-off suited us perfectly. In the line toward the final nine gallop strides, we made the minimal difference needed to win," says Daniel. "Otello has a big stride that I can easily follow. He might not be the fastest, but that big stride makes it easy for me to sit still and let the obstacles come to us."

Daniel continues: "Jumping Amsterdam is, for me, one of the most beautiful indoor competitions. It's known for its amazing atmosphere, which is why we always love riding here and coming back."

Deusser and the son of Tobago Z stopped the clock at 34.23 seconds. The entire top three finished within less than a second of each other. The final rider to start, Peder Fredricson and Alcapone des Carmille (by Diamant de Semilly), secured second place. Fredricson and Carole Levallois’ bred SF gelding pushed Simon Delestre with Jiamo VDS (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve, breeder: Daphne Van der Schaar) to third place.

Last week, Willem Greve won the Leipzig World Cup with Highway TN N.O.P. (Eldorado van de Zeshoek). Riding the KWPN horse bred by P. Verdellen Paarden Fok, he seemed on track for another victory but ultimately finished fourth. He was followed by Maikel van der Vleuten, who completed the top five with the BWP stallion O’Bailey van het Brouwershof N.O.P. (Darco).
