The world's international elite delivered magnificent show jumping sport in the 1.60m Trophée de Genève. Ultimately, Donald Whitaker jumped to victory with his own Millfield Colette.
Nine combinations returned this evening for the jump-off of the 1.60m Trophée de Genève. With a single time penalty in the first round, Belgium's Nathan Budd finished in tenth place with Hugues Delattre's Zangersheide stallion, Touardo Blue Z (Toulon).
In the jump-off, Donald Whitaker was the last to start. Together with his own 12-year-old mare, Millfield Colette (Cornet Obolensky), the Brit beat Christian Ahlmann's time by more than a second. The German show jumper ultimately finished in second place with the 10-year-old stallion, Dourkhan Hero Z (Sea Coast Don't Touch Tiji Hero). Cian O'Connor and his German-bred Chatolinue PS (Diablo Blanco) followed in third place.
The pair was just under three seconds faster than Max Kühner and EIC Daloubet (Diamant de Semilly). In front of a home crowd, Edouard Schmitz rounded out the top five with the sBs gelding, Gamin van 't Naastveldhof (Chacco Chacco).
